Do you guys expect Zewlakow to get the call-up for the next two games and get the all-time record for caps on the national team? That would be a real slap in the face if Smuda cut him loose now.

The thing about Smolarek though is he is a natural goalscorer he knows how to score goals and those 4 shots it was just poor form because he just got back but the fact that he got 4 chances of scoring in only 20 minutes of play time really shows how goal hungry he is which is something that our other strikers just don't have.

Ebi alone had opportunities to score about four goals. And he couldn't finish one. Not at all impressive.
With Lewandowski missing a PK and not being able to tie with an extra man advantage... not at all encouraging even if they controlled the ball most of the time and had waaaay more SOG.
Why can't they finish? I had great hopes for Lewandowski and Jelen and even hoped that Smolarek could get back into his old groove. But they can't finish.
BTW, Mieszko, sorry for bringing up the Boruc Rage Llist in my first post but I was responding to somebody already having mentioned his name. A little tangental leeway is a not a bad thing. Life is not always so neatly compartmentalized. It wasn't like I was trying to insert something into the thread about politics or some other nonsense.

RUMOR: Adamek vs Vitali Klitschko - March 2011 « Result #6 on Sept 7, 2010, 4:22pm »
So Ukrainian and American media are reporting that Madison Square Garden in New York wants to have a huge fight for the 40th anniversary of Frazier - Ali, which was considered the fight of the century.
So they have contacted both Klitschko's team and Adamek's team and supposedly they both are excited about the idea so this fight could go down in New York and not in Klitschkos home ground in Germany.
So this is the older Klitschko who is 39 now but still a very good boxer, he is not in prime form anymore but hes still much better than Michael Grant which Adamek seemed to have a problem with. So this could just be to make money for Adamek but I think he will certainly show up in the best shape he will ever be in and he will do his best to get the Heavyweight title.

Tyton played in net and literally the only shots on him were the goals... We seriously dominated and that red card in the end we really should have tooken advantage of. Like I said its not the strikers that is our problem but we need more creativity with our plays not just the same old crosses which become predictable. In the begining we had nice through balls through the center but later on we stopped that.
Sebastian Boenisch is a great addition, he played more as a winger really but its great his crosses are excellent and he even got the assist goal to Lewandowski.

This team is terrible how do they not beat this team they had 3x more possession and controlled the game. They have no finishing ability in the final 3rd. Lewandowski still has alot to prove and i think ebi should get another shot he is a finisher even thought he didnt finish well today. we should scored at least 4 goals today

So we lost 2-1 in a match that we easily dominated, I mean the second half the ball was in Australia zone for 90% of the half. We played much better and deserved the tie or even a win. Smolarek came in for Lewandowski in the 70th minute and was amazing he had about 4 chances, good play on his side and WELCOME BACK SMOLAREK, hopefully hes on the team in Euro 2012.
PS Who played in net for us? The game was so much in their zone and I didnt even realize who was our goalie? Was Tyon??

I know! We are playing good but I'm tired of saying that. We need to win matches and stop settling for average.
Lets see if we can come back.
Second Half: We started losing steam but in the 70' minute or so Australia was given a red card and down a man, we kept pushing for that equalizer and a lot of missed chances by Smolarek.
We were the better side clearly but our huge problem is scoring goals! Which is what really counts! And its not our strikers or something but I guess its just the overall setup with our offensive attacks that should be changed, given some kind of new life, new ideas.

Welcome Phubar Phunk! Post a thread about this in the off-topic forum because this thread is for talking about Poland - Australia only.
So Australia scored first 13' even though we had the ball the entire time. Then Lewandowski scored 17' with an assist from Boenisch. 25' Australia scored a penalty and now this game is getting really physical with the Ref stopping the game often. The referee awarded us with a penalty but Robert Lewandowski didnt finish with a pretty weak shot that the keeper saved. Half-time: Poland 1-2 Australia
It's been getting posted there every Friday going back at least ever since the World Cup this past summer.
Also, can someone provide a website where I can find the current roster for the Polish National team that includes national team jersey numbers and the name of their respective club teams.

I think Boruc could be number 1 there. There were transfer rumors of Frey moving so maybe next window he could possibly move, plus they have given Boruc some playing time already so he is not just a back up goalkeeper. There was nothing more for him to do at Celtic anyway.
Update: Fiorentina's coach has said that buying Boruc could have been a mistake because he was expecting Frey to leave but since he didn't the team now has two very good keepers and that he only chooses Frey as number 1 because he has more experience in Seria A. But he has said that Boruc could very well be number 1 soon. http://www.sport.pl/pilka/1,65083,834489....e_byc_blad.html
