I'm also planning to head to Poland. Most likely to Warsaw to go view one of the opening group matches for Poland (if they even end up playing there) I have family in Wyszkow, which is about a 30 minute drive to Warsaw, so I can get a ride, or even take the bus. Also have some extended family in Warsaw to stay for a night or two (if I get too wasted)
I also have family in Gdansk... but not Poznan or Wroclaw...
The date for Euro 2012 ticket sales is unlikely to be set before 2010. UEFA will dish out 10% to VIPs and hospitality groups. Tickets for us average folks will definitely be quick to sell.
Anyway, I was thinking if many of us end up going to Poland, we should have some contact info down if we were to meet up at a game, or for a beer afterwards, or even to get into a brawl with some German fans... :)
I'll probably end up watching some of the games at those fan zones they have set up...
Would be cool to meet up at a huge tournament like this, especially in Poland. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I'm definetly going to go becasue like you said this is a once in a life time opportunity. I'm hoping though that I could get those packs for all three of Poland's games. I was wondering though what happens if lets say Poland qualify's to the next round, do you have to buy tickets in advance or is it possible to get them later if there are any available.

I never understood the selling of tickets for these types of tournaments. Do you even get to choose what matches you go to, for example you have no idea who is going to be in the final, so do they sell those tickets once you do find out or? Cause theres always fans from the two countries at the final, so that implies that they sell the tickets once you find out who will be in the final but that probably isn't the case.

Yes well either way I will be in Poland during the tournament whether I get tickets or not, I have family near all the host cities so any place works. Yea we should definelty meet up, we have a few years to decide all that though.

I'va already started planning for going to this. It's awesome because it's the year after I finish school so perfect timing. I think with the ticket thing is that a certain amount are reserved for those countries' fans for the next group. So like if the Netherlands were to get to the next stage, the fans who went to all the group games would be put like on the highest priority list to buy the next ones. I think I remember at the Euro 2008 final there were 15,000 tickets for Spanish fans, 15,000 for Germans, and the rest were all the VIP's and general public.

The oficial logo was unveiled today in Kiev and to me it looks pretty bad but whatever.

Also the official slogan:
'Razem tworzymy przyszłość'
'Творимо історію разом'
'Creating History Together'

At first I thought it was a pretty bad logo.

But then I realized how else should a logo look like? I think its actually very good and creative. The flowers will make people think Poland and Ukraine are beautiful countries and they are :D

If you look at the other Euro's logos they werent that great, so I think this logo is fine. With time it'll look better.

I think it's great, according to the creaters you have the stem to represent the structure of Football, UEFA, FIFA etc, the central ball symbolizes the emotion and passion, and the flowers that are inspired from "wycinanka" which is a traditional art of paper cutting in the rural areas of Poland and the flowers help resemble these areas. Personally on first instinct I think the logo is great and I really like the background colour.

Platinin calls Poland-Ukraine a 'risk' because they lack experience hosting big events.

Tomorow, February 7, 2010, they will be doing the Qualifying draw in Warsaw. Its at 12:00 noon Poland time. Apparently Platini really hopes that Ireland will be in a group with France again :D

I'm 100% going to be in Poland at the time, and 95% set on buying tickets to at least 2 games (not sure how hard it will be to buy tickets from Canada). Either way, I'll be in Warsaw and probably going to drive to Wroclaw too, so we can meet up for beers somewhere :) Maybe pick up a few Polish ladies, lol.
