we went down to 28

but i was analyzing it and it really makes no sense at all.

http://fifa.com/worldfootball/ranking/lastranking/gender=m/fullranking.html
if you take a look at other countries like Romania and Bulgaria that are ahead of us on points they haven't even qualified or ever reached 3rd place in a world cup or euro cup as much as us but they are ahead in points. If you want to make the argument that its followed more by current status of the team we are still way better. Bulgaria didn't even qualify for euro. This is ridiculous. how do they get away with shit like this...

Another reason why I want Poland to beat Germany and do well at Euro......We might start getting some respect from the bloody federation, something that is long overdue, damn it!!

yea its bullshit but you still want to see us in the right spot and not behind teams like Bulgaria and bloody Paraguay. A lot of people take in these rankings, so they look at us now and think we're a joke when we really shouldn't be in 28th spot

Why must the same conversation be revisited every month? It's getting quite boring....

ok guys i thought i explained this already the rankings dont just take into account current successes (i.e Poland qualified for Euro Romania didnt); instaed they are taking into account all of a teams matches, but more importantly the opponents who they have won, tied or lost AGAINST. So unless your willing to analize every team as closely as you are Poland your really in no position to be saying that other teams are worse than their fifa rankings; because the people who make those rankings are not POLAND or ITLAY or PARAGUAY fans; theyre simple objective statisticians, so either accept the statistics as they are or just dont look at them at all.

Exactly my thoughts. Poland should see the rankings as a motivation factor to show the world that they are better then they are made out to be... but then again, are they really THAT much better than 28th in the world to be this pissed off? I'd rather have them ranked in 28th, and pull off a few stunning wins in the EURO, then have them ranked 10th in the world, and not even get past the first round. Better to be an "underdog."
