YES! i'm guessing it was the win against Portugal that meant the most  hopefully more good will come 
those damn i-ties are soo close to being 1st in the world  they better drop soon

well Scotland has been doing excellent in the qualifying so far. But cameroon, nigeria, greece, switzerland, croatia, ukraine, & cote d'ivoire... i dont think they should be in the top 20.

croatia and ivory coast should be. but poland i am very proud, we jumped 8 places!! this shows what we can do. beat the best, we are the best

I have to agree with tedski...these rankings mean nothing as far as I am concerned.....I am pleased to see Polska jump up.....but other than that what does it all really mean......not much

New ratings may come out this week.

I think it is good; cause you can't just have a hodgepodge of teams, Poland with Fiji islands and the like.
Generally, they reflect some truth; and except for maybe the likes of Brazil and a few others; a lot of these teams can be upset, Romania over Spain, Scotland over France, Cyprus tying Germany, a lot of parity is out there.
In fact, even Brazil can be beat, I guess in South American qualifiers; it seems that there is a lot of equality, it is hard to say, Italy is just so much better than a Spain and on and on.

I don't know if an African team has ever been in the top 10; Nigeria is now though.
FIFA says Russia is climbing too; 23 spot.
