 Chelsea Banned from Signing Players

For one year

This is because Chelsea supposedly wanted a player to break his contract with his club so he could sign with them.

but isnt it in modern day that all clubs basically make players break contracts?? every second signing seems to be 2 years into a 4 year deal

Those are transfers though, and a club accepts the transfer fee in exchange for releasing the player from the contract. So it's not really the player breaking it but the club allowing him to go in exchange for some compensation. I guess in this case that didn't happen and Chelsea wanted a way around paying the fee. I'm not sure, but that's my best guess.

That sucks for Chelsea... I wonder how Tedski is doing, and how he would react to all this.
