 Poland / Chemistry
« Thread Started on Jan 21, 2010, 11:02am »

I know the games don't mean mean qualifying for any major event right now. But don't you think that we should be working with some of our better players? We have some great players who are not involved with the National team right now. And in order for us to get a great team we need to build from those players. And they need to play together for a long time. Adding some of these new key names in with the old.

We should be playing all these games to win them. Doesn't these games still count on our Fifa rankings? If it means throwing Marcin Robak ( the worm) in with Jacek Krzynowek then be it. We need to WIN.

Actually the King's Cup isn't recognized by FIFA so I dont believe it counts for the rankings.

So its understandable that we didnt use our A squad for that, but I think for the friendlies in the future we should use our best squad because we have no other games then friendlies until 2012 so we have to start taking them seriously.

The next meaningful game is not for over two years...there is no rush at all.

lol, thats a good, and bad thing...
It just got announced that we will be playing World Champions Spain in June, I think? In Madrid... we will probably get destroyed, by it sure beats playing minnows. All our friendlies have to be against quality opponents now. No more dumb little tournaments against Singapore or Thailand, either.
Our boys need to play against the very best, to learn from them and improve in time for Euro 2012. I don't want to spend hundreds of Euro's for tickets, just to see us lose every group stage game...

If we are playing against Spain that would be sweet but I think we have games against Honduras and Serbia instead, at least according to Pilka Nozna this week.

Yup, we're playing Spain in June, as Szym has posted on the main page...
We are also playing Honduras and Serbia too, both teams are ranked above us, so they will also be good test games. Both different style of playing, too.

Maradona: "Poland was a minnow "

Such bitter words from football legend cannot be surprising. Polish football is in such a hole that the best national teams of the world are slowly beginning to treat Poland as a team such as the likes of San Marino and Andorra.

WTF I never read anything like this but yeah it's sort of true. Like we arn't that shitty like Andorra or anything but I hate it when people say that and I wish that they play Poland and get killed now.

Who cares? Some former cokehead calls Poland out... We can't let that stuff bother us. But it should be a wakeup call for the entire PZPN to get their shit together and get a decent team together and fix things up for the future. Things have slipped quite dramatically in the past year or so, but it still can be fixed to get us back on track. I still want to live to see the day where we can challenge in a world cup or european championship, or at the very least, BEAT GERMANY. Unfortunately, before we can go through another golden age of soccer, it might be a decade or so. But I want to see them in the top 20 in the world at least in the coming years.

We need to regroup our national team, make them feel as one family I mean things are really going downhill now, its upsetting.

And our U-21 isn't playing so well either

I hope one day we'll see a Polish international superstar or a good team who can atleast get out of the group stage... I'll be cheering Poland on every step of the way.

Ok...that pretty much classifies Maradona and Argentina for me. I wish them nothing but failure for the rest of my life. He was probably on Bolivian flake when he said that.
